This client's daughter was ten going on twenty. She wanted a sophisticated teen suite that would work for hang-outs with family and friends. The sectional provides enough room for the whole family, and has a reading lamp for studying. The new desk and bookcase space provides tons of useful storage, including some closed storage. The LED clip lights and magnet chains near the bed give her a place to showcase photos and postcards, as do the three bulletin boards behind the desk shelves. An LED fairy light sign adorns the space over the bookcases, reminding her to "dream" big. All of the succulents are faux, which is great for giving the illusion of fresh plants with none of the maintenance.
In the bathroom, Shana created a custom "wallpaper" by hand-placing lemon decals. She also added an aspirational quote to one wall, to give a sense of safety and love in a space where teen girls can sometimes be hard on themselves.
Shana was thrilled to hear that this teen's hang-out is now a favorite space for the whole family on the weekends!
