Cunningham Gender-Reveal Baby Shower
Shana planned her own baby shower as a gender reveal party. Guests were invited to place their bets on a communal chalkboard and an Old Wives' Tales booklet was there to help. The gender of the baby was revealed when Shana and her husband cut into their cake. That's how they found out they could expect their first daughter!
Hand-stenciled signs and banners welcomed guests and directed them to the proper gazebo. Seasonal flowers and gourds were used to create inexpensive but dramatic centerpieces. Small paper onesies hung on "clotheslines" allowed guests to write advice and well-wishes to the proud mom and dad.
The food was simple but delicious. Pizza, salad, chips and fresh veggies were served before the cake. The veggies and chips were served in individual cups and boxes for beauty of display as well as sanitary considerations.
A lidded basket became the perfect receptacle for cards and small gifts, and a vintage frame was hung to make a fun place to take photos.
